The Siberian Elm of Château Capion has become the fourth tree in the Hérault region to be classified ‘Remarkable Tree of France’. On Saturday March 28th, the estate at Aniane is celebrating this prestigious classification with screenings, a conference and an exhibition.
On the agenda
11h and 16h: screening of the documentary ‘Remarkable Trees: a heritage to protect’, by Georges Feterman, Jean-Pierre Duval and Caroline Breton (Museo Films). Authors and directors will be present.
14h30: conference: ‘Trees, the latest news’ by Georges Feterman, president of the Association A. R. B. R. E. S; also, a ceremony for the official recognition of the Siberian Elm at Château Capion as a “Remarkable Tree of France”.
All day: Seeds and Trees exhibition by Benoit Piquart. The director of the Tourist Office at Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert Vallée de l’Hérault presents his private collection of seeds from around the world.
